The Lamp Room….
From an era when lamps had to be filled with oil and wicks trimmed before being distributed around the house…. now just abandoned in a room at this old house along with other bits and pieces. Always a treasure trove to explore.
Now we take it for granted, that a flick of a switch, and all is bright and beautiful.
I hope it is a luxury we can continue to enjoy…. despite the current turbulence and energy concerns
Now more than ever… we should all…

I’m starting to appreciate the flick of a switch even more. We had another violent thunderstorm last night with lightning strikes all around and….yep, our power went out again. This time though it wasn’t just our home affected, it was the surrounding neighborhood. After a few hours, it was restored, and once again I’m grateful for our electric utility workers.
