Thoughtful Thursday….. A Long, Long Time Ago

Time….

We sometimes have a strange perception of time. 

After only a very few weeks of winter like weather, Summer seems such a long time ago, a very distant memory. Even stranger when one reflects upon a year where Spring was rather spectacular, lingered long and morphed seamlessly into an endless Summer, a Summer that pushed back the start of Autumn till nearly the end of November.  A year where records for sunshine and temperatures were broken month by month…..  but those summer days do now seem so long ago.  Yes, a distant memory.

Then again other events make you ponder just where did all the time vanish too so quickly…

Great-grandson Jonah celebrates his Birthday on January 1st.  He will be 2 years old, yet it only seems like yesterday that we were celebrating his arrival…. 2 years that have passed in a blink of the eye.

Never have worked out or relationship with time.  The past has gone, we cannot go back…. though we can relive moments with the aid of photographs.  As to the future, well it will be here before we know it… and whatever that future holds for each of us…“only Time will Tell”
