A Treat….. A Real Treat

_DSC8578_00010qqq

For obvious reasons visits to see our Great Granddaughter Esmee, have been very rare over the past 6 months.  Today we had an opportunity to pop in for a short visit.  Boy, how she has grown.

We were also lucky to find her at home, she is normally down at the stables with her mum.  Esmee may only be 2 years and 8 months but she is quite an accomplished horsewoman, a real love for horses.  A love as you can see which she continues once she gets home.  Her Electric Pony gets lots and lots  of love…

Esmee loves life and loves to tease.  One moment she can pose, act shy, be coy, serious… then boisterous all in the blink of an eye.

It was fun, just a shame, that in this strange world, that visits are so far apart.  But at least Esmee is happy and full of life…. and now we are happier too.

Moody Monday….. On your Bike

aps_1045-tt

I know in these troubled times, that for many of us, the days of the week have merged seamlessly into weekends.  But it is Monday today, and for many it is Moody Monday and back to work.  For some it may well be back to work after weeks and in some cases months of being at home.   For those starting back it will feel strange maybe even difficult to adjust.

As travel by Public Transport is not recommended, may be the old saying of…..”On Your Bike” will prove to be appropriate

A ‘Little’ Surprise…..

This is Margo…….  one of our Great Granddaughters.

She gave us a big surprise yesterday and paid us a visit.   It is so long since we last visited (back in January pre lockdown), so she needed re-introducing to us.  That didn’t take long as Margo is full of confidence.  Back in January she was just finding that confidence to stand up on her legs……  now she is off, at a pace, exploring the garden and climbing any obstacle that gets in her way.

It really was a BIG treat to see Margo, and her Mummy and Daddy,  a real delight after all these months in this strange world we all now live in.  Events and life changed as we all went about in our own little worlds

Things will get better with time…by how much we will have to wait and see.

But till those better times arrive…

Not Forgotten……

Carla-1

3 years ago today we lost Carla our fantastic Black Labrador.  Despite all that has happen since then, we still miss her. As we move round the house and garden we seem to instinctively walk round her.  In the kitchen, as we work away preparing meals, you still sense that  warm Black shadow, that gentle pant of expectation that something might just drop of the the preparation table.  Always anxious to join us on our explorations and always providing a warm welcome to everyone.
