The Lamp Room of and old Country House. In days before electric lighting, Oil and Candlelight was an important requirement.  The Lamp Room was where they were stored and maintained… someone’s daily duty to ensure all were primed and ready.

Always primed and ready a the lights of Hamburg Docks, somewhere that never sleeps…

and of course, Blackpool Illuminations, on a wet night, still sparkle but do lack the magic that colour would bring….
