Alhambra …. Granada of the Moors
Andalusia Spain is always hot, so I guess they chose the High Sierra Nevada, to build the Palace complex of Alhambra, in the hope of securing cooler air than down on the Spanish plains.
On this Saturday it was both hot, and being in the Tourist season, also very very busy.
Above are the walled gardens, of the area of the Palaces, known as Generalife. The waters, with the trickling fountains, were a welcome cooling freshness to the day.
Despite the apparent never ending throng of fellow visitors, I managed this shot of the gardens ‘people free’. Looks, and felt for a short while, tranquil.
Wherever you are this Saturday…..
