One of the many things I enjoyed on a Cruise, was the early morning walk round the decks whilst all was quiet. I did say ‘enjoyed’ as the realisation is that age and health implications have crept up on us. Not, I hasten to add, that we are not fit or able enough to cruise…. but the cost implications for the Cruise Insurance is just, in my view, prohibitive… It has now become out of balance to the cost of the cruise. Last year we had to change duration and destination to bring the costs, of cruise and insurance, more into tandem…. and now the reality is that a Cruise, a year on, is a none starter. Still great memories were made.
Now we need a new plan….. wherever your travels take you….

It is, I guess an inevitable fact ….. we will make new memories. We came late to Cruising, something I never thought I would like. But a lucky turn of fate resulted in our first cruise on a small boat (by cruise ship standards) no big crowds. It was the most relaxing holiday, to a variety of destinations on one trip, we had ever enjoyed. New friends and a desire to cruise again. But best not to complain, as we are still able to travel under our own steam in the UK, for now…. and for that we are very grateful.
