Martha’s Friday prompt on “Pirates” brought back this memory from 16 years ago when Buster was just a pup.
Maybe it was his compact size that attracted this Cornish Pirate to try and recruit Buster as his ‘Ships Dog’. As you can see Buster is listening intently to the offer. Now I don’t know exactly what was said, but from that day on Buster never liked even approaching a boat, let alone setting a paw on board. True, even short ferry rides where a hardship to be endured under sufferance. As I say a smile and a memory as Buster is no longer with us.
A true Pirate story for Martha’s prompt this week. The link to her blog is here:- https://ragtagcommunity.wordpress.com/2023/08/18/friday-pirate/
Its Friday, if you are keeping an eye open for Pirates or contemplating a relaxing weekend … as always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

I have a friend who had a dog named Buster and he looked a lot like the Buster in your picture. The only difference is you couldn’t get within three feet of my friend’s Buster without facing a bunch of sharp teeth and an angry growl. In fact, you couldn’t even look at my friend’s Buster without getting that reaction.
“Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other” = amen to that!

Apparently, Buster had good sense not to listen to that pirate’s enticement. 😉
