August has arrived, It is the month of much solar activity, noteable the prolific Perseids Meteor Showers light up the dark skies. On a good night the Milky Way is perhaps at its clearest. Now I don’t have an image of either so maybe the Northern Lights will do. 🙂
August is also the last month of summer…. now I do wish we had had a summer to enjoy. So I guess less said about that the better.
August 1st is also Lammas Day. By ancient tradition it is time for the harvest …. and of course thanksgivings for a bountiful crop. I wonder this year just how bountiful that crop will be.
Enjoy your August…. maybe summer will actually arrive…

Just had a mini heatwave…4 days to supposedly make up for the wet spring and summer. Maybe Augustv and September will provide warm sunny days… but i am not going to hold my breath
