Dunluce Castle
This weeks reflection is back to 1963 and a tour for Valentines of Dundee. Northern Ireland, concentrating on the Antrim Coast, was the venue for some four weeks. The weather was constantly good.
These images were all pre NI troubles… we had a great time, it was so peaceful, and were made very welcome by everyone. We found it hard to understand what happened just a few years later.

I will see if I can dig out a few more images from my Valentine collection from other locations… till then and as always….

O a historic note and on something we now take for granted. 1962 was the year of the first Sunday Times Colour Supplement. It was the marker of just how far colour printing at low cost with a high degree of skill had come. The Postcard Industry seized the new technology and the need to replenish their Photo Libraries….. that’s when I got the job of covering all the hotspots of Britain…. OK the print Quality compared to now is very big, but at the time it was really ground braking….Progress
