It started to rain (again) yesterday. Still raining today. But by the afternoon I did think it was just a little brighter and easing. So anxious to have a break and get my daily walk in, I set off. Big mistake….. the rain became heavier and despite my waterproofs, I ended up soggy round the edges.
Thankfully part of this afternoons walk has a boardwalk… very welcome.
Despite the dark day there was one glow of autumn to add cheer… and now lets say goodbye September
No matter the weather…. always ….

We are getting soggy weather in the aftermath of the hurricane that devastated our Southeast. I’m just relieved it’s only rain and not the deluge experienced by some of our friends down south.

Its next week when our great grandkids were flooded out of their home. Those floods kept coming back thŕoughout the winter. February was dryish…then just wet.

I remember that. It’s such a horrible mess to be flooded out but at least they were unharmed. Homes and possessions can be replaced, loved ones can’t. I’m so sad for all the families of those who lost their lives over here.
