Fast Cars…. I have always loved them.
I don’t know who was more proud of this pedal car, me or my dad. He had acquired the car in a very rusty state. It had been abandoned at the start of WWII and left to rot. He rescued it in 1945, toys of any sort were in very short supply. Over the winter he repaired and repainted this little beauty, a task completed for me to enjoy the results in summer 46.
Of course the pic is B&W,, but the car glowed in a gloss yellow colour with black trim.
The picture is a discovery whilst searching through family archives, a task I am not enjoying… but encouraged to continue when a gem like this one appears.
No matter what time frame you are living in… always….

It is also easy to forget that toys were hard to come by… refurbishing (or as we say these days recycled) ws the order of the day 🙂 Yep Memories

What a nice treasure you found among those archives. And obviously, it brought back a nice memory too. Hope you find more worthwhile ones to keep. (And by the way, what a cute little fella you were!)
