OWS – One Word Sunday…… Architecture

Liverpool Waterfront

The very recognisable ‘Liver’ Building… I think we should give this Grade 1 Listed Building its proper name ‘ The Royal Liver Building’ and its neighbours ‘Cunard’ Building and The Port of Liverpool Offices.  Three grand buildings also referred to as the Three Graces.

Opened in 1911…. now step forward just over 100 years and the famous waterfront develops a new look.

A very marked change in the interpretation of “Architectural” style.

Architecture is the selected word for Debbie’s One Word Sunday Challenge.

Architectural progress, well I will leave that for you to decide.  Some new high spot buildings are creative and  imaginative.  But most new builds, particularly the commercial buildings, are very utility and don’t appear to be built to last or add style to our environment. just my view.
