Flippant Friday…. It must be Someone’s Birthday

Well. it has to be someone’s Birthday Today

Whilst rummaging through those many saved items, I came across this distinctive card.  It is a Raphael Tuck Postcard and the Artist is Beatrice Mallet (1896-1951).  This is one of many illustrations commissioned by Tucks.  Often the same design would be used, with just a change to the greeting, making in suitable for different occasions.  I may be wrong but I think I also recall this image being used for a Valentine’s Day Card – possible the wording was along the lines of “I wonder if He is Thinking of Me”.

Not sure of the precise date of publication but along with many others it would have been between the War Years.
