Thoughtful Thursday….

Lindisfarne Priory, Northumberland  

These magnificent ruins date back to the 12th century….  I always stand in awe at these and similar dated ruins, be they an Abbey, Castle, City Wall, whatever.  Built in the 1100’s without the aid of todays construction aids.  All illustrating an architects and craftsman’s skill .

None too sure that many of todays so called masterpieces will be standing in 2900

Just a thought for Thursday…  and as always another thought….
