OWS- One Word Sunday Challenge….. Crossing

Crossing is the nominated word for this Sundays Challenge.

So here is one of my very favourite crossings.

Connel Bridge over the Falls of Lora, Argyll, Scotland.

Connel Bridge was originally built as a railway bridge, economics changed and the railway closed.  So, Connel Bridge was converted for road traffic (single track and light controlled) providing a much needed road link.

The Falls of Lora, mark the meeting of Loch Etive with the sea. at Ardmucknish Bay. These narrows can only be navigated at high water and then with skill. It was once the location of a ferry crossing, which we are told, ‘ could be hazardous ‘

Just a suggestion for host Debbie’s OWS Challenge.
