January 25th. It is Burns Night… so I wish my Scottish friends, at home and across the World, ‘Good Health and Best Wishes’
There will be many Burns Night celebrations and Suppers tonight. All to commemorate Robert Burns (1759-1796) perhaps Scotland’s greatest Poet and Writer. For such a short life, ‘Rabbie’ Burns was a prolific writer… a wealth of poems, songs and stories. Ironically, perhaps his best known song “Auld Lang Syne“ is sung by many at New Year, without a thought that it was this great Poet, that pend the rhyme some 230 years ago.
As I lift a glass of Malt tonight… I wish you all “Slangevar”
Tomorrow is another day… but as always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other
25th January
