It may well be Wordless Wednesday…… But we cannot let the passing of September go without some comment. Indeed, it is a positive comment as September, for the most part, has been more like summer than summer itself. You could say that summer was topped and tailed by a great Spring and now a great September.
September is also the time that I associate with sunsets. They suddenly seem much more intense an intensity which I think is helped by the arrival of colder evenings.
As for my favourite places….. The Lune Light, used to mark the entry into the River Lune from the wide expanse of Morecambe Bay, seen here from Cockerham Sands, it just has to be near the top of my list.
Where ever you are……
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

( I am breaking the Wordless Wednesday rule with a few words. After all the miserable dark days of late I thought something with hope would be good…after all a sunset is supposed to herald good weather ahead. As for this favourite place, well its great at any time of day, at high or low tide, always changing and always the call of Seabirds and Waders.)

Sundown over Morecambe Bay Sands, Lancashire
It is goodbye to another year that has just flown bye and disappeared into our History.
Like most years it will have been a mix of the good and perhaps at times bad …..so lets just choose to remember all those good moments as they make the best memories.

A Winter Sundown over Morecambe Bay
A winter sunset, not I will quickly add, was the image taken on the day of the Solstice but near enough. None the less it is what I hope is a fitting shot for the Solstice.
The days have been getting shorter but now we can gradually expect to see them extending…what the year ahead will hold for all of us is unsure, but we can at least look forward with hope
