Not sure where the Gate went to.
Always interesting to come across clues and hints of days long gone. Where was the fence-line, how big was the enclosure…. Sometimes just standing and letting your eye and mind wander, and you can visualise, how man and nature has changed the landscape. All over a relatively short span of time. Perhaps more poignantly admire the craftsmanship in creating a humble gatepost…. not sure that we have progressed.
