Lea Rhododendron Gardens, Derbyshire

The weathers just great and as a bonus it is a Bank Holiday here in the England, so there was no better place to go for a ‘day out’ than Lea Rhododendron Gardens. You go to see these late spring early summer blooms at their very best. Lea Gardens are a network of paths through woodland in a steep rocky quarry. Natural as it may look today, it is all manmade a Victorians dream garden.

Nor is it a place to rush…plenty of places just to sit and enjoy the surroundings which despite its justifiable popularity is surprisingly quiet and peaceful

Lea Rhododendron Gardens are located near to Matlock in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, so there is plenty to see and visit in the area…that is if you can drag yourself away from the gardens…

Evening light catches the final message from Lea…

We hope you have enjoyed the tour…thanks for joining us.
