Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick, Cumbria
This megalithic Stone Circle is always busy…. Its 38 standing stones has long attracted visitors. But today Mid-summers day it will be extra busy with visitors celebrating the Summer Solstice.
Officially, at 3.57pm today the 21st of June, 2023, is the crucial time. But no doubt there will have been worshipers here from the midnight just past to midnight tonight…… with special observations as the sun rises then later sets .
A visit at any time of the year can be a celebration… enjoy.
