Peterhof Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia
We were looking forward to this trip, a trip that we made several years ago. We read up about all the locations, absorbed all the guide books and their pictures…it all looked fantastic.
But when we arrived at Peterhof Palace it really took our breath away. The lavish description of golden splendour had sounded to brash…. but the reality quite simply took our breath away. A spectacular sight (and the sound of tumbling waters)…. we will never ever forget.
