October has been rather un-seasonal..that is until Friday and since then the temperatures have dropped dramatically (but still no frost), the rain has poured down and the winds have been near to gale force…in fact three very grey days. But for a brief spell the clouds broke the skies cleared and the sun shone. As it so often does on these occasions it does seem even brighter…..
Whilst the wind did strip many trees of their leaves others cling onto them, even if the colours have now stated to change. So for a just little longer they still added flavour to our October down by the lake. BUT it was only a brief pause and we are now back to winds and rain…..the seasonal norm!

For us it’s the other way around… mostly good weather broken by a rainstorm. I agree, it does seem brighter after the rain… I wouldn’t mind having some more!
