The last time we shared a visit to Chatsworth House Gardens was to catch the last of the Autumn colours….so I thought it would be nice to share a visit to see the Gardens in the first colours of early Spring. The gardeners and ground staff are busy getting the gardens in ship shape for the start of the holiday season and they have done a great job in ensuring there is a swath of Daffodils in variety and profusion.
But in true Chatsworth style the natural beauty of the grounds are enhanced by the addition of sculptures…this time the theme is more contemporary and humorous in style, featuring interpretations of everyday household and garden items…..
Not that this umbrella would provide any protection should the direction of the fountain’s spray change!
As an ‘extra’ Easter bonus, Easter Eggs have been added to the gardens ornamentation….
So join me on a mini tour of the Chatsworth Spring EGGstavigansace ……
More about the Easter Eggs…….
It is a bit of fun. Designed to keep children interested as they walk the gardens…..on the hunt for these well placed ‘decorative’ eggs. Did you spot the ones within the images above? I can assure you there were certainly some very BIG kids joining in the fun…..
As for the sculptures, well they were fun to..….but please close the gate on your way out!

Thanks for the walk through the gardens, a truly lovely English garden. The Easter eggs were a lot of fun but the massed daffodils stole the show as they always do.

Absolutely….but the Eggs did give the kids that were about the momentum to explore the gardens (and also amused many of the adults too)
