Spring moves along…..

In the woodland glade, the last of the Daffodils are putting on a bold show.  The yellows are now fading ……  soon to be overtaken by the Bluebells.  Spring is well underway and entering it’s next stage of change.

The First Day of March… It is also Saint David’s Day, The Patron Saint of Wales.

So to mark this special day for our Welsh friends, two symbols.  One Historic the other more symbolic…

Caernarfon Castle and Daffodils

Some sunshine

But no matter what day it is……

Thoughtful Thursday…….. Hope

Some sunshine

Daffodils for Hope….

There is a suggestion gathering pace, that after such a dreadful Winter, a winter in which we have all had to adapt our lives because of Covid 19, that we need some ideas, something we can share, to give us all hope.

One of those suggestions, and hopefully with Spring knocking at the door, that Daffodils could be that symbol of Hope!

Perhaps, we can all collectively,  display an image of Daffodils, it would show we care and that we are optimistic that Spring, will soon lead us all, onto those hoped for better days.

Well I have made a start, I have an image of Daffodils in my office window for all to see..

…..  and of course it also has that important message  …..

Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Daffodils at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire

In an idle moment I  flipped through some memories of this time in March 5 years ago. It was surprisingly nice and mild….sometimes we forget just how fortunate we have been.

A Silent Sunday Glow…………..

Some sunshine

A Host of Golden Daffodils..

Sunday 10th March…..and the forecasters tell us that WINTER arrives in our part of the world to-day. Its true our autumn come spring medley has come to and end and winter is here….. and we thought we might be going to miss out!

So to brighten up what is going to be a dark winters day I thought that a flourish of bright yellow daffodils might just bring some sunshine into the day.
