The woodlands have still to show their true autumn colours…..but the decorative trees that line the main road just above our house are now displaying in all their autumnal glory.
It is though a case of enjoy whilst we can as they are all none native trees planted for their decorative colour, sadly they are not as robust as our native trees so theย leaves are already dropping and soon all will be bare.
By comparison the woodland trees are still continuing to fight off the progress of the expected seasonal demand for change…ย oblivious to the passage of time…
I suppose this makes a DP Weekly Photo Challenge – Local entry

Ah… that’s a challenge, David. Moody, stormy and wet pics from now on… ๐ ๐
I agree with you about the native trees. They seem to hold on to their leaves much longer. Although we had a wee bit of a storm yesterday and low and behold, many more leaves are colouring the pavement. Unstoppable we are heading for the Celtic New Year, also Samhain or better known as Halowe’en…

WE do feel very lucky Nia…..but it wouldn’t do for everywhere to be the same. If it was I probably wouldn’t get as much enjoyment as I do from your photo updates of village and city on the Bosporus ๐

Thank you…..Though the change from late summer to autumn does seem ever so slow this year. But that I guess is a bonus ๐

I found it slow too…then I thought maybe I was watching too closely… who knows…and yes delaying hard frost is a bonus. ๐
