Misty Morning, Allestree
Hard to conceive that we are now into December (just where did this year go to?) We do have a misty start to this month, but the sun is doing its very best to break through and of course we still do have many trees laden with that magical autumnal gold.
By the time I reached the Pines the sun had found a chink in that grey mist offering promise for the rest of the day..

Frosts of recent days have brought many more leaves carpets the woodland floor, which together with the now dry dead bracken, they caught what ever sun was going and created a cosy glow….. even though the day is cold.
The mist still lingered long into the day…despite the suns best efforts, infact the mist remained until nightfall.

But for December that is not a bad start to the month.

Not sure from the advance forecasts just how December will pan out….next week they say is due to be very mild but could be wet…Already the frosts have vanished.

The first photograph shocked me. What a beauty of composition and color! Magnificent!

I cannot take credit for the composition and the colours….that is down to the natural and random beauty of nature. 🙂

For me it’s the last one. The whole tree looks like he is the king of the trees. Proud and beautiful.
As for December… a few dul and rather warm days with the forecast of frost againt from the weekend on. Also this weekend this madness: https://www.google.nl/search?q=sinterklaasintocht+2016&biw=1280&bih=561&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjZ8uWeudXQAhVMLsAKHVf6ARUQ_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=sinterklaasintocht+2016+in+Maassluis&imgrc=_
It’s showing the arrival of Saint Nicholas in a small and old town called Maassluis, near Hook of Holland. Total madness but the little kids are very happy and some anxious when they were told by parents that they have been naughty. This saint isn’t punishing any kid. After Monday this madness is over and we look forward to Christmas and New Years Eve with fireworks (brrrr, I do hate that). For Pagans we celebrate the 21st which is YULE and the Solstice. Almost done with the x-mas cards. Looking forward to mid January when all is normal again. 😀 😀

Christmas is for the kids…not commercial interests or adults who over indulge in gifts and food. You can have fun without all that 🙂
