Heart of Oak
The winter winds have done their work and stripped this veteran Oak of its leaves for yet another winter. How many winters it has stood we do not know for sure but some of its neighbours have been dated to over 1000 years.
On this winters morning the Oak, the light and atmosphere, have a distinct winter ambience.

It’s sooobeautiful. Magnificent indeed. Have you edited a bit or the colors are natural? Simply superb.

Just added a glow filter to emphasis the glow of the dawn light….and that does increase the colour saturation a bit but not by much

Now that’s a tree with character, David. I’m half expecting it to talk or move, as it looks much like something from a fairy tale or Lord of the Rings, an Ent Lord, perhaps.

Well I talk to it every time I pass even if only to say ‘good morning’ 🙂

I know right…I guess the mysteriousness of our existence is what makes life so precious.
