A hazy but bright sun to start the 1st day of November and still plenty of leaves to filter the light with a warm glow. But it is noticeable that the woodland floor has a thicker carpet of leaves.

Autumn has been late arriving here, apart from the exotic trees, the leaves are only just turning.Β Fungi have also been hiding away but at last some are starting to appear…

By late afternoon the sun did eventually burn through the haze Β and great end to a near perfect day…

1st November

I have a feeling that autumn this year will not be as splendid as usual…..or at least in this little part of the world. It has been a strange year for weather which I think has and still does have an influence on this autumn. Still I am making the most of what we get before the dreaded winter π

we still have some bees on our garden plants – very odd for November. Supposed to be a hard winter this year. Personally I don’t mind, as I like the snow π

Agreed…. The berries are supposed to be an indicator and they are full. Snow and frost is OK what I hate are endless dull wet days. Keep those fingers crossed π€

lets hope so. I have just been for an early morning walk through the woods in sunshine – just so peaceful and silent, and of course the colours are breathtaking. I really do love autumn π
