At Last…some Real Autumn Colour

Not one of our native species but still a very welcome glow of autumns colour.

But the frost, even though it was only a light frost has had a marked effect on the Ash trees….overnight they have dropped their leaves…

Still plenty of leaf cover remaining on the woodland trees.

  1. By now, most of our trees are ‘naked’. I can see their bodies. Especially chenut trees are really beautiful, naked… 😀 LIke this one at castle ‘Schouwbroek’ (NL). https://www.monumentaltrees.com/db/16/600/16039.jpg
Right here, in the centre of our village we have such a chesnut tree. Really beautiful. But my friend will probably not see the trees without the leaves anymore. Her time’s running out fast now.
