
Snowdrops….
Despite the cold seasonal weather we, in our small part of the UK, have managed to stay clear of the snows. The ground is wet and the soil dark sticky brown….. yet despite that bright green shoots of bulbs have broken through to the daylight…and many of those green shoots are or rather will be Snowdrops.
Obviously someway off flowering but a never the less a very hopeful sign of Spring.

It’s 12º overhere. With a very strong wind. Yesterday, I showed two kids a chesnut leave bud. You can open it up and find the fully formed leave in miniature inside. That’s the miracle for me that makes me happy. Here’s how:
