River Derwent…..
Heavy rains and snows melting up in the hills of Derbyshire has seen a marked rise in river levels. Here on the Lower Derwent at Darley Weir the river is running fast and dwarfing the height of the drop….and the colour is the colour of peat from the Peak.

Thanks for the mild front you sent over, David. Snow depth has decreased with 20% since last night and we have stille 4 deg’s plus! May be it will evolve into an early spring at that . . .?!

You may be right and without wishing time away an early spring would be nice. Buy I still feel that the seasons have been moving backwards with each year, in fact if I were to describe our current January weather it would be more like a description of December. Anyway we will see 🙂 👍
