Cold but Sunny….not a Bad Start to February

Sunny but deceptive….There was a very cold artic wind blowing which very much took the edge of what was a bright start to February.

It was also strange to find Carp basking in the sunshine in the Lilly Pond.  First sightings this year as they are usually hiding in the vegetation in the very bottom of the pond….so I guess that bright sunshine triggered something in their metabolism to spark them into action……just hope they have dived for cover as the temperature drops.

The Winter flowering Heather is just starting to reach its best, one of the few winter plants to add colour to the garden..
