Red Sky in the Morning…..
Well you know the rest…and it was not really a surprise. Coupled with the Met Office forecast and the weather warnings on Breakfast TV we expected the worst. Even those Blackbirds on the roof tops look pensive.
But some times we need to be surprised and this Monday morning we were .
Wrapped up with scarves, hat, fleece and gloves we headed out for our morning walk round the woods. As the sky cleared and the sun broke thru, the temperature rose, so off came the hat, gloves and scarf. What a great morning…a morning when the smell of the woods was as good as the views

So I guess the old fable was wrong, which I suppose came as no surprise to many….but so was the Met Office. Sometime it pays not to take these forecasts on face value.
Temperatures hovering round 6c, blue skies and a warm sun….hints of Spring.
Best not to be too complacent as snow forecast for Tonight and tomorrow.

I would never be complacent but such lovely suprises are alway welcome. It’s lovely overhere with a max of 3º C but the breeze from the N.E. is thin and very cold. It’s a great day to be outside but also to be inside behind the glass of the windows en enjoy the warmth, the colours and longer daylight. Through the special thermo double glazing it’s amazing that still so much warmth comes in, considering the time of the year where the sun isn’t that powerful yet. Forecasts here: another day like today and then the wind turns again to the S.W.. More sleat and rain expected and to start with, more clouds. And a stronger wind at the end of the week. But it’s been great to see clear blue skies, bright sunny days and the first crocusses in the municipal grass in the road sides.
