Just a bit of snow….well it is still winter

For a change we have had a bit of snow, just a nice covering.  At first it was sticking to the trees but the wind increased and started to blow what is a powdery snow into the nooks and crannies.

Compared to many previous winters this is still ‘not that bad’ and as it is March cannot last for long.  Still, wrapped up warm, its not too bad for a walk.

  2. You net it is! Last 6-7 days we have had temperatures wll below 10 minus mand there is at least 3-4 feet of snow mosty anywhere here in the lowlands. If yuou move a bit up into the mountains (above 2000 feet) you’ll find snow depths of more than 7-8 feet! No sign of a coming spring as of yet! Buit the forcasts show a somewhat more acceptable temperature from wednesday – we hope!

    1. We all hope….but just where we are we have so far escaped the worst. But I am also being honest and say that whilst it is bad weather for the UK I have known much worse and not that many years ago.

  3. Seems we have escaped the worst. We did see the footage from Britain. Not from Norway, but I did look it up. Watching that, we were pretty lucky. Even though the windforce is still between 5 and 7. It’s less than yesterday when it was 8! But better times seem to be ahead. Temperature wise then. This afternoon and evening we will get some snow. Just enough to spay some ‘dust’ on the branches of the trees. I don’t think it will be as beautiful as your trees, David. But on Sunday they think we could have +10!! I hope so. I can go out on my bike and do my shopping. It’s nice to be inside and do chores I don’t like very much, but I’d love to be out again without the pain. 🙂

    1. It was not good in many places….but there were also many that so far have escaped the worst. But it is only a very few years ago when snow like this appeared in March and just as bad but didn’t get the media hype. It is cold though that is for sure. -5c but feels like -15c with the wind
