Ivy Tree
Perhaps it has been the dull grey days of the past week……. so when I caught a small shaft of that rare commodity ‘sunshine’ casting its glow on the Ivy climbing up the Oak it refreshed my inner soul. I even paused to marvel at all the varying shades of colour on each of the leaves then the intricate and intriguing pattern of veins. Each leave held on a single thin red stem. Each leave a jewel in its own right.
Humble though the Ivy maybe it certainly brightened up my morning….

You are right. Ivy is beautiful and very hardy. I am thinking of getting ivy on may balcony and have it grow and then weave it into a mat. It will hold the wind, providesd a lot of shade in summer and hopefully he iv will drink lots of rainwater. Thank you for the tip ! 😀
