The Deer Shelter, Calke Abbey, Derbyshire
This Deer Shelter is on a very old country estate that had Deer running in its Park Land. Although it is a ‘shelter’ and feeding station, its real purpose was that it enabled those living in the Country House on the estate, to provide themselves and visitors a guaranteed view of the wild Deer. The Deer regularly coming to feed at this spot.
