  1. Since posting this image the news, this morning, is reporting a major wild fire on those peat moors on the distant horizon/ Lack of rain over the past few months and now record high temperature will not have helped. Peat is also one of natures fossil fuels.

  3. This horrendous fire was in the News. Awful, as many small animals will not be able to escape. Rare plants will die. I hope the Fire Brigades will get control over it soon, so they can put it out. So sad…

    As for the photo… it’s so beautiful. You can’t see how warm it is there. And by now the Heat has arrived here as well. At least another whole week of temperatures between 25 and 30 (or higher). And too dry for too long a time. Fires can easlily be started here as well. Just a tin that was thrown away can act as a lighter and cause a fire. This is one of the 5 dyest periods in the last decades. Forgot how long ago. I hope for a weather change in two weeks time when it’s New Moon again. Change with a lot of rain is what I hope. Everything turned brown now.
