  1. If it’s a holiday let, I would love tot rent it for one week. Somebody must bring me and pick me up again as I do not have a car. But one weet in solitude seems a great chance to pick yourself up and get yourself back together from the hustle and bustle. Turn my phone off as well. No TV, no newspapers, no radio, no phone and internet. Just the sounds and smells of nature around you. The beautiful days as well as the stormy days inside with a small fire, a hot cup of tea and a book.

    • It is not a holiday let but a Bothy. It is part of a network across the Highlands of Scotland, mainly old croft or farm buildings in the wilds that have been brought back to life by volunteers. They are far from roads and provide an overnight refuge and protection against bad weather in these remote areas. No facilities, water from the burn if there is one, maybe a table but of course space to lay a sleeping bag. Fire , candles and torches provide light…… and of course being open to anyone you never know who your companions (if any) may be which all adds to the fun and comradeship. 🙂
