I love the skeletons of winters trees…whilst they may be dormant (not dead.. just sleeping) they do give life to the bleak winter woodlands.
But I need to fast forward quite a few months to get to my favourite time for trees, that of course is autumn. We know it is near the end of the seasonal cycle but they pass through these autumnal months with one of there most colourful displays. Full leaf, then a touch of gold, through to bold brash golds and reds, then back to bare branches and a woodland floor carpet with golden brown leaves. Waving goodbye….. whilst very positively saying wait till next year and we will do it all again.
Well that’s is my contribution to this weeks Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. I needed little encouragement to join in with the topic of Trees.

Perfect for the challenge. Autumn is also my favorite season when the trees have glorious colors and I’m grateful I live in an area where we have four distinct seasons of the year.

Your first photo is simply dreamy. Your last was one fire. And I adored all those in-between too! 😀
