After a day when the skies had been gin clear blue, just as expectations of a clear view of the Super Moon looked good….we get cloud cover. Though we did get a small break in the clouds. Cannot win all the time.
It was a nice start to the day, sunshine over the Lake…

In the meadows and hedgerow things are growing fast. Campion, Buttercups, Forget me Not, Hawthorn and Dandelions, now just seed heads.
Back in the garden it does look as if the weekend is going to be busy..

We also had some company. This Blackbird was doing its best pretending not to be there.

As it had just been bathing in our birdbath I guess it was reluctant to have its photo taken….’bad hair feather day’

I’ve heard of Sod’s law and I looked it up. It’s very similar to the North American Murphy’s Law (anything that can go wrong will go wrong), except that it refers to a specific person who repeatedly has bad luck. A related term, Finagle’s law, goes one step further and states that it will go wrong at the worst possible time; this was coined by John Campbell, Jr., the editor of the Astounding Science Fiction magazine from the 1940s through 1960s.

Forgotten about Finagles Law…… if it goes wrong it never seems to be at the best time. 🙂
