Market Day……. slowly some of the activities we all took for granted are getting back to normal…..maybe not the normal we knew and took for granted, but what is now referred to as the ‘new norm’. Trouble is the boundaries of the new norm seem to change quickly and frequently….nor that user friendly.
This was Market Day in Ludlow, Shropshire a couple of years ago, full of bustle and socialising, popping into shops just for the fun of it. I wonder if and when we will get to a better norm rather than this new norm

I’ve really enjoyed the street markets I’ve encountered in my travels, and it’s always fun to see another. That’s one of the (very) few things I miss about my job since retirement.

I know exactly what you mean. I often think back to my corporate working days of travel, enjoying new experiences outside of the working hours, visiting none touristy places….but most importantly of all – someone else was paying for my privileged executive travel . I am though glad that I left that life behind. 🙂

It will….but I have this gut feeling that we will move backwards for awhile before we make any progress.

Somewhere that people actually talk to each other, smile and enjoy shopping….not like the supermarket aggression where the shopping trolley is used as a battering ram to speed them through the rush and push of the checkout.

Now people can really say, “The good old days,” even if the good old days were only five months ago.
