Two Counties View

_DSC8543qqq

A rather fine late summers afternoon walk….great views over  some mellow countryside, all with a backdrop of Bunster Hill, to the left and Thorpe Cloud, to the right.  Hiding in the shadow of Thorpe Cloud is Dove Dale with the famous anglers River Dove flowing through.

The River Dove also marks the boundary between Staffordshire on the left and Derbyshire on the right.

The only downside to the evening, is that the sky does indicate yet another change in the weather….more storms due.

    1. Well Sue, at the moment it’s a place to avoid…like Blackpool prom on a Bank Holiday. They are managing the numbers by all accounts, but struggling with the amounts of rubbish they just abandon. Another fallout of CV19.

        1. I heard someone talking about the rubbish issue. They suggested that many folk who have been unable to go to pubs and restaurants treat the countryside like a restaurant table, you eat your meal (picnics) then get up leave and let someone else clear the table. Might be something in that theory.
