Traigh Beach, Lochaber Coast, North West Scotland
Every News programme seems to feature people desperate for a Beach holiday, all bemoaning the fact that they cannot travel abroad due to Covid travel restrictions (Covid is still with us and rates climbing again).
I to want to travel once more. But when I do, I want to be free and independent and above all feel safe.
I don’t demand a Mediterranean Beach, with bar and sun loungers, but would love to walk along a crisp sandy beach, with blue waters lapping the shore line and a wide expansive view to island and mountains, just like the beach above.
Traigh Beach, is just one of many hidden gems around the Scottish coast. From Arisaig to Mallaig, this stretch of Lochaber coastline is dotted with a string of beautiful peaceful sandy beaches, all with a backdrop of the Lochaber Mountains…. and all can be found along the North West Coast of Scotland. Nor are these beaches limited to Lochaber. Scotland may have a rugged coastline but also hosts many similar beaches all around its coast.
Wherever and whenever you travel….

Your idea of what kind of beach to visit and mine are exactly the same. 🙂

Soon….. maybe. But once again infection rates on the rise. Everyday life does feel.more normal now but travelling far is still problematic. 🤔

I have been fortunate enough to do just that – leaving the best mainland UK Covid Scores (Moray) to travel to the best Island covid scores (Shetland) – the risk factor was the ferry (14 hours in masks) but fortunately a sparsely populated ferry. The islands were almost normal, the roads empty – haven’t been so relaxed – since it all started.
