There is still some way to go before autumn and its colours arrive. So far this summer it has been hot, very hot and also dry. That combination is tough for trees, their leaves suffering drought and harsh rays of the sun. It can also mean an early start to autumn. I love autumn…. but not just yet please.

I know, it is quite bizarre sometimes. Having said we have had rain, we have actually managed to miss the horrendous downpours today but a few miles east and west of us have not been so lucky.
