The Lock Keepes Lodge on the Mill Avon at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
The Lock is used to create a pound of head water that was used to power Abbey Mill.
Today it also serves as a control at times of flooding, to try and regulate waters from the River Avon, flowing via Mill Avon to the River Severn where the waters meet here at Tewkesbury…… not sure it works, as the town has often been flooded.
We cannot always control the weather and stay safe….. so please try and….
Remember ….
