It is can be busy at times…. but venture off the main trails and you can soon find peace and tranquility. 😉

Where I live, one can drive south of town into the Nebraska Sandhills and find spots where the only sign of human involvement in the environment is a barbed wire fence. I sometimes like to go out there on New Year’s Day to watch the new year start with a sunrise there. That’s how I can get away from it all. The Sandhills are a joy to go to.

Despite the UK being so much smaller, we can and do find places of isolation. I can understand your New Year pilgrimage, we do similar and head to some high open moors if we can :-
