Yesterday, the sun shone and the sky was blue. Not a totally unheard of occurrence in Spring, but this season rare enough to be both commented upon and taken advantage of.
We headed off to the aptly named Spring Wood, just over the border in Leicestershire. Being Spring it was flooded with Bluebells.
Bluebells are not renowned for their scent, it is a subtle aroma….. but on mass the scent does fill the woodland.
So join us on a gentle stroll through often shady Spring Wood and share our enjoyment…. though the aroma will have to be imagined.
We are now just hoping that this is the start of Spring ‘proper’…. no more false starts…
Whatever your weather, enjoy…. we can do little to change it…..
As always….
Please Remember ….
Stay Safe …. Be Kind…. Look After Each Other

Those beautiful bluebells remind me that when I was a little girl, we used to chant these words while playing jump rope – “bluebells, cockleshells, easy, ivy, overheard.”

Whoops! My fingers went too fast typing – that should be “overhead” not overheard.
