It has been a strange season of surprises

I have made comment over this year about our real (or perceived) change in the time cycle of our winter and spring flowers.  Early flowering plants have been late, whilst late flowering plants have been well ahead of the game. It has been strange and fun in watching the surprises that nature has sprung on us.

Those surprises and out of synch timings have not been limited to the great outdoors.

We always pot new Amaryllis in November to get their bold colour packed flower heads to brighten our February day’s.

It is past the mid-point of May and our first potted Amaryllis has just come into bloom…..late but still welcome.

I do wonder what other surprises natures has in store for our garden as summer approaches…

Relaxing in your garden, or visiting botanical displays…enjoy but as always….
