Good to see this place in colour, my images are B&W, from quite a while ago, and if I took any colour ones, no idea where they went…

We did have a restful Sunday which included a “Sunday drive” to locate some more covered bridges. Do you do “Sunday drives” in the UK where you just get in your vehicle and wander around to see what you might find?

It was once what “one did” on Sundays. In those days people worked Saturday mornings and shops were closed on Sunday… as cars became more affordable, the drive (and often a picknic) became the done thing. Life changed more leisure time, more money and all shops became shopping mall’s . Sadly, Retail Therapy has become a hobby.
Sad reflection on progress.

Same here in the USA. When I was a child, stores were all closed on Sundays. It was a “day of rest” for everyone. Now, retail places are swamped with customers on Sundays. I agree that it’s a sad reflection on the so-called “progress” of our western society.
