Our Orchid (a gift) came into flower, lots of buds all clustered on three stems. Then after months of pleasure, the petals and then buds on the stems dropped. It looked as if it had given up. But we left it alone, then a month later we observed small swelling along the top of each stem…. then little buds appeared, swelled and once again burst into flower.
As to variety, I have no idea of what the botanical name is. The best I can do is a Google ‘Lens’ search which tells me it is called “Mother of Orchids”
Well with out assistance from us this “Mother” did produce more Orchids.
No green-fingers just neglect and time
